Firefighters battling wildfires in Sicily
Canadair firefighting planes were trying to stop several wildfires that hit the Palermo province in Sicily on Tuesday, burning vast areas of woodland.
The wildfires continued to burn through the night, however no casualties have been reported.
Firefighters working to battle the blaze say the flames were considered to be under control on Wednesday. Authorities were investigating whether the fires were started deliberately.
