US airstrikes fail to stop deadly violence in Afghanistan

The United States has expanded the use of airstrikes in Afghanistan under President Donald Trump’s new strategy. US military officials say they dropped over 4,000 bombs on terrorist groups’ positions across Afghanistan in 2017 alone. Critics, however, say the recent wave of terror attacks in the Afghan capital prove Washington’s failure in improving the security situation in the country.
