Saudi Arabia's role in Sa’ad Hariri's resignation

One day after the abrupt resignation of Saad Hariri as Lebanon’s prime minister, different political circles inside the country, including Hezbollah, say Saudi Arabia is behind the move to create political turmoil. Israel has welcomed Hariri’s resignation that was announced while he was in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile Iran’s foreign ministry says Sa'ad Hariri’s resignation is a scenario to create tensions in Lebanon and the wider region.

In this edition of The Debate, Press TV has talked to its Beirut-based correspondent Mariam Saleh, and also conducted an interview with Marwa Osman, a political analyst from Beirut, and Richard Millett, a journalist and analyst from London, to discuss Saudi Arabia's role in the abrupt resignation of Sa'ad Hariri as Lebanon’s prime minister.
