North Korea not to be intimidated by US: Analyst
Pyongyang has responded to Washington’s threats by showing its own military might in order to make the US understand that North Korea is not going to be intimidated.
“The DPRK has made it very clear that they are never going to back down from their right to independence” and that “they are not intimidated,” Jason Unruhe said.
On Tuesday, the US military flew two supersonic B-1B bombers over the Korean Peninsula as part of a combined firing drill with Japan and South Korea in the region, fueling tensions with Pyongyang over nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
“They (the North Koreans) have responded to military drills like this by carrying out drills of their own,” because they know the US attempts to intimidate Pyongyang to make it “receptive to US demands,” Unruhe told Press TV on Wednesday.
The Americans carry out “provocative acts,” which are not in line with their claims about their alleged attempt to find diplomatic solution through negotiation, the political commentator said.
