The Spanish La Liga the battle remains tight at the top of the table, with the top-4 teams earning victories on Saturday, including Real Madrid who snapped a run of 4 straight draws, with a commanding 6-1 victory, away at Real Betis.

Zinedine Zidane’s men opened the scoring with a precise header as early as the 4th minute, when Raphael Varane headed home Toni Kroos's free-kick. The German then set up striker Karim Benzema who doubled the visitors’ lead in the 32nd minute.

Mercelo added a 3rd with 5 minutes remaining in the first half, when his miss-hit-effort found the far corner, before Isco rounded off a superb team-work to make it 4-nil.

The home side pulled one back some 10 minutes into the 2nd half, though Álvaro Cejudo. But Los Blancos re-asserted their dominance 7 minutes later, when Isco scored his 2nd of the night to make it 5-1.

And it was Chritiano Ronaldo who capped-off the scoring with a well-taken strike to seal Real Madrid’s 6-1 victory. This is while, Zinadine Zidane’s men still trail leaders Atletico Madrid on goal difference.
