Scientists in Argentina have discovered the vocal tract of a prehistoric bird that is found in Antarctica.

Experts say the discovery provides new insights into how birds evolved their methods of communication. They also believe that this bird from the ‘Mesozoic Era’ probably sounded like a modern-day duck.

The team of scientists says the bird lived in an island more than 70 million years ago. The fossils were first found in 1992. But it wasn't until 2013 that investigators in Buenos Aires found that it revealed the prehistoric bird's vocal organs.
