Ukraine beats Czech Republic 2-1 in Hopman Cup to lead Group A

Ukraine have added another victory to their tennis Hopman Cup Campaign after defeating the Czech Republic 2-1 on Tuesday.

Both Ukrainian pair Alexandr Dolgopolov and Elina Svitolina continued their excellent-form in their singles-ties against their 2nd Group A opponents.

Svitolina was the 1st of the 2 to put Ukraine ahead; she dispatched Karolina Pliskova 7-5, 6-2. - Dolgopolov added the 2nd win after taking-out Jiri Vesely in straight sets, 7-5, 7-6. The Czech-Pair Vesely and Pliskova managed to grab the mixed doubles-tie for a mere consolation, winning it 6-3, 6-1.

The win makes Ukraine the only team in Group A not to suffer a defeat ahead of its final tie which is against team Australia Gold.
