Press TV has interviewed Kamel Hawwash, vice chair of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign from Birmingham, and Brent Budowsky, a columnist with The Hill from Washington, on crimes by Israeli settlers against Palestinians.

Hawwash said the Israeli regime “will not allow a Palestinian state to be created.”

“Without any pressure from outside it (Israel) will not change its course.”

“What we need is for Israel first of all to recognize that the Palestinians are the people who are equal in value and wealth to any Jew and any Israeli,” he said.

Israel should “recognize that its creation in 1948 was a catastrophe for the Palestinians,” Hawwash added.

The commentator said the Israeli regime seeks to keep Palestinians “under occupation perpetually until they give in.”

Budowsky, for his part, censured a fatal arson attack in late July by Israeli settlers on the home of a Palestinian family in Duma village, the occupied West Bank, and their celebration for the heinous crime. “It’s a tragedy when anybody dies and it’s even more of a tragedy when anybody celebrates somebody dying.”
