Israeli forces have killed two more Palestinians in the occupied West Bank as dozens more are injured in violent clashes in another Day of Rage.

The Israelis gunned down one Palestinian during clashes near the West Bank city of Ramallah on Friday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

A statement from the ministry announced "the death of a young man, Lafi Yusuf Awad, 22 years old, from the village of Budrus in the district of Ramallah, (killed) by a bullet from Israeli forces."

Palestinian medical sources in al-Ahli Hospital also confirmed on Friday that Hassan al-Bo, 21, had died after he was hit in the heart by live ammunition during a demonstration in the city of al-Khalil (Hebron) south of the occupied city of al-Quds.

Meanwhile, a series of Israeli attacks on peaceful Palestinian demonstrations injured dozens, with Palestine’s Red Crescent saying 11 people were shot with live fire as they were attending a peaceful gathering in Bireh, north of Ramallah.

It said four others were wounded in similar incidents in al-Khalil and Qalqiliya, while another 14 were victims of Israel’s use of rubber-coated steel bullets against the demonstrators.

Other reports said a medic was reportedly shot in the ear during a protest near al-Azza refugee camp in the city of Bethlehem.

Two Israeli settlers killed

The march in al-Khalil, which was called after Friday prayers by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas on another Day of Rage, was apparently the biggest in size, with reports saying it turned into a deadly confrontation between the Palestinians and the Israeli forces.

During the demonstration, a 55-year-old man and three teenagers were shot in Ras al-Jura area. A separate report by Ma’an said one of those injured in al-Khalil clashes is in a very critical condition. Reports said two Israeli settlers were killed in violent clashes in al-Khalil.

Other health sources in the West Bank said at least 28 Palestinians were injured by tear gas in the clashes in Bireh, Bethlehem, al-Khalil, and Qalqiliya.

The casualties on Friday are the latest in a string of violent incidents affecting the West Bank and the Gaza Strip over the past eight weeks. More than 80 Palestinians have been killed since clashes erupted in mid-September over an alleged plan by the Israelis to change the status quo of the al-Aqsa compound, a highly revered place for the Muslims across the world. The clashes have also killed more than a dozen Israelis.
