Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visits the US, as tensions with India have grown to the point that nuclear-armed Pakistan has said it is ready to respond, with Indian-controlled Kashmir being one of the issues.

US IN COMBAT IN IRAQ OR NOT?

The US Defense secretary Ashton Carter has said the US is not militarily involved in Iraq, yet it can militarily engage itself when it wants to, in reference to the rescue operation of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, which gave US an American casualty.
