Bush administration officials didn’t just let 9/11 happen, they made it happen: Scholar

US President George W. Bush didn't get back to the White House on September 11, 2001 until after 7:00 pm.

An American philosopher and researcher says the administration of George W. Bush deserves full blame for the September 11, 2001 attacks, which were orchestrated to implement the Project for the New American Century.

James Henry Fetzer, who is also a journalist with Veterans Truth Network and a retired professor in Madison, Wisconsin, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Wednesday, while commenting on the ongoing feud between Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Jeb Bush over the 9/11 attacks.

On Friday, Trump blamed George W. Bush for the September 11, 2001 attacks. In response, Jeb said his brother, George W. Bush, is not responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

"Look, my brother responded to a crisis, and he did it as you would hope a president would do. He united the country," he told CNN on Sunday. "He organized our country, and he kept us safe."

“The exchange between Jeb Bush and Donald Trump over whether George W. Bush deserves blame for the attacks of 9/11 deserves an unequivocally affirmative answer, yes, yes, yes. He is responsible at least on two different levels,” Professor Fetzer said.

“In terms of the official account, which we know to be false, the Bush/Cheney administration received many warnings about the possibility of terrorist attacks, even including a memorandum that Condoleezza Rice acknowledged during the investigations into 9/11 that would subsequently take place, asking whether --even actually affirming -- that Bin Laden was planning to strike in the United States. So even on the most superficial, trivial level the answer is yes,” he added.

“But on the deeper level, the situation is far more profound, because George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice, Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith, General Richard Myers, Rudy Giuliani, Larry Silverstein, and others were more profoundly involved in making the arrangements that led to 9/11, which were intended to transform American foreign policy from one in which -- at least officially -- we have never attacked any nation that has not attacked us first to one in which we became an aggressive nation, striking first in Afghanistan, after we had appealed to the Taliban to turn Osama bin Laden over to us,” he continued.

Professor Fetzer said the Taliban “responded quite reasonably that they would be glad to that if we could show that he had something to do with [9/11]. We said, ‘We would.’ But we didn’t, because of course we couldn’t.”

“Osama had nothing to do with it. 9/11 was brought to us by CIA, the neocons and the Department of Defense. It comes from the Project of the New American Century, and the Mossad,” he noted.

“The work in New York appears to be primarily the work of the Mossad, but the rest seems to have deeply involved elements of the American government, especially at the Pentagon, where that building -- the most heavily defended in the world -- could never have suffered the indignity of an aircraft attack, were it not the desire of the government, where Dick Cheney himself appears to have issued the stand down order to ensure that the plane -- not actually Flight 77, but simulating it -- that the plane would approach the Pentagon and then fly over, at the same time explosives were set off,” the researcher pointed out.

The September, 11, 2001 attacks, also known as the 9/11 attacks, were a series of strikes in the US which killed nearly 3,000 people and caused about $10 billion worth of property and infrastructure damage.

US officials assert that the attacks were carried out by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists but many experts have raised questions about the official account.

They believe that rogue elements within the US government orchestrated or at least encouraged the 9/11 attacks in order to accelerate the US war machine and advance the Zionist agenda.

Professor Fetzer said that “there’s a great deal about this now online, where I personally interviewed Major General Albert Stubblebine (USA, ret.), who was in charge of all US military intelligence, on The Real Deal Episode #100 about the 9/11 aircraft; and he agreed, based upon the evidence I presented, that all four of the aircraft sites were fabricated or faked albeit in different ways.”

“The plan was to take advantage of the demise of the Soviet Union in 1991 and create a new American empire that would endure for the next 100 years, if only we would move swiftly into the Middle East and exert military and diplomatic pressure outwards. That was the plan, as I explained on The Real Deal Episode #103 with Dennis Cimino, beginning with the Israeli security firm, ICTS, handling security at Logan, Newark and Dulles Airports,” he stated.

“You can see how far it went. We did of course invade Afghanistan immediately, and a couple of years later, Iraq.  It was part of the project what Wesley Clarke described ‘taking out seven governments in the next five years’, beginning with Iraq and Libya, and ending with Syria and Iran,” the American scholar said.

“It’s now been brought to halt, but not for lack of trying. Trillions of American tax payers’ dollars have been expended, tens of thousands of American lives [have been lost], and millions of Middle Eastern lives have died in the effort to benefit Israel,” he pointed out.

“None of this has been of any use for the United States, but it has benefited Israel tremendously up to the point that where Russia has now intervened to secure Syria and fight ISIS, which of course was a creation of the United States,” the political commentator emphasized.

“The whole situation has left the Middle East in chaos, and for that we can thank George W. Bush in both levels,” he observed.

Professor Fetzer concluded that Jeb Bush's assertion that George W. Bush “kept us safe, was not only false on the superficial level, but was much more significantly false on the more profound level, because his administration arranged for it -- they didn’t just let it happen, they made it happen -- when it comes to 9/11.”
