Iran's Defense Minister and his Russian counterpart sign Memorandum of Understanding

 After fifteen years, Russia's defense minister visits Iran.
General of the Army Sergei Shoigu is welcomed by his Iranian counterpart Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan. They are here to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on crucial issues of global and regional security. After a three -hour visit, news crews are let into the room in which the Memorandum is signed. Army General Sergei Shoigu told the media about how eager his country is to develop bilateral co operations with Iran on the agreed issues, on top of all, military co operations.
 "Our collaborations with the Islamic Republic earlier, has lead to the agreement signed here today which focuses on issues such as strengthening humanitarian co operations and also the exchange of well-trained forces for educational purposes to fight terrorism." said Sergei Shoigu,Russia's Defense Minister.
Iran's Defense Minister in his remarks held that it is crucial for the sides to collaborate in fighting the interventions of Trans-regional forces in the region.
Hossein Dehqan Iran's Defense Minister noted "Among the most important topics are a common understanding about terrorism, destabilizing factors in the region and United States' intervention in global and regional affairs."
Army General Sergei Shoigu noted the abundance of common understanding with Iran on many issues related to their regional security.
Russia's Defense Minister also  pointed out the significance of this Memorandum of Understanding and said that Iran plays a key role in fighting terrorism and illicit drug trafficking in the region.
