The Iran men's national taekwondo team has ranked third at the end of the Wuxi 2018 World Taekwondo World Cup Team Championships in China, thanks to the convincing performances Iranian sportsmen put in during the high-status international event.

The Iranian team defeated the Kazakh squad 28-26 in the third-place play-off contest and grabbed the bronze medal on Sunday.

The Iranians started their campaign at the Wuxi 2018 World Taekwondo World Cup Team Championships with a victory over the Turkish side.

They, however, failed to defeat China A team, and could not secure a spot in the final showdown.
