Iran’s Ayenehband wins bronze in Junior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships

Iranian gymnast Omid Ayenehband has featured fine athletic skills, flexibility and agility at the 15th edition of Junior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships, and harvested the Islamic Republic’s second bronze medal in the continental tournament.

On Saturday, Ayenehband participated in the vault competitions at the indoor Istora Gelora Bung Karno sporting arena in the Indonesian capital city of Jakarta, and gained 13.338 points to sit in the third spot of the chart.

A South Korean athlete stood atop the podium, having notched up 13.925 points.

A representative from Japan accumulated 13.525 points to finish as the Asian runner-up.

The development came a day after Iran's Reza Bohloulzadeh collected 13.250 points in the men’s pommel horse event and pocketed a bronze medal.

The 15th edition of Junior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships started on April 24, and finished on April 28, 2018.
