Iranian gymnast pockets bronze in 15th Junior Asian Championships
Iranian athlete Reza Bohloulzadeh has put an acceptable end to his campaign at the 15th edition of Junior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships, and scooped a bronze medal at the continental tournament.
On Friday, Bohloulzadeh took part in the men’s pommel horse event at the indoor Istora Gelora Bung Karno sporting arena in the Indonesian capital city of Jakarta, and collected 13.250 points to claim the third position.
A representative from Japan earned the highest mark of 14.350 points and won the gold medal.
A Chinese gymnast ranked second with 14.025 points and received the silver.
Meanwhile, Iranian gymnast Mehdi Olfati has secured a quota place for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympics.
Gymnastics at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics will be held from October 6 to October 18. The events will take place at the Parque Polideportivo Roca.
The 15th edition of Junior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships started on April 24, and will finish on April 28, 2018.
