Iranian athlete to participate in Toyota International Gymnastics Competition

Iranian athlete Saeed Reza Keikha is going to take part in the forthcoming Toyota International Gymnastics Competition, which is scheduled to be held in Japan early next month.

Keikha is the only Iranian gymnast in the prestigious competition that will kick off on December 9 and will conclude the next day in the Japanese Capital city of Tokyo.

On May 15, Keikha notched 14.20 points in the men's pommel horse and won a silver medal at the 4th edition of Islamic Solidarity Games in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku.

Earlier, the Iranian athlete had pocketed a bronze medal at the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) games in Azerbaijan.

Keikha scored 14.450 points to claim the third position in the men’s pommel horse event at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

Japan’s Tomomasa Hasegawa won the gold medal with 15.400 points, and Belgian gymnast Maxime Gentges scored 14.700 points to rank second.
