Quds Force chief vows to continue 'bright path of resistance' under Leader's guidance
The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, Brigadier General Esmaeil Qa’ani, has reaffirmed the resistance front's unwavering commitment to continue the "bright and honorable path of resistance" under the leadership of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
The pledge came after the Leader issued a message praising the massive public turnout at the funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in which he warned US President Donald Trump that the Iranian nation would teach him "unforgettable lessons."
"Now that the American enemy is seeking to stir up war and suffer heavier costs and further disgrace, let it know that the dear Iranian nation and the Axis of Resistance have unforgettable lessons for him, as the courage of the fighters of Islam and the bravery of the people of the southern regions have already demonstrated in recent days," Ayatollah Khamenei said in his message on Saturday.
In a statement issued on Sunday, General Qa’ani expressed gratitude for the Leader's "grace and magnanimity" toward the Resistance Front and reiterated the loyalty of commanders and fighters to the covenant made with the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
"We emphasize our continued faithfulness to the covenant we made with the martyred Imam of the Ummah," the statement read. "We declare that we will continue the bright and honorable path of resistance, a path that has repeatedly received the approval of the Leader, under the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei."
General Qa’ani's message comes amid the ongoing US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, which began on February 28 and led to the martyrdom of the late Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, on the first day of the war.
The new Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, has since taken the helm, guiding the nation through a period of intense military confrontation and diplomatic pressure.
The Quds Force, which is responsible for Iran's extraterritorial operations and coordination with allied resistance groups across the region, has been at the forefront of the Axis of Resistance's response to the US and Israeli aggression.
The force has played a key role in supporting resistance movements in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Yemen, and has been instrumental in coordinating retaliatory operations against American and Israeli targets in the region.
The statement also comes as Iran's armed forces continue their sustained retaliation against US military bases across the region, following repeated American violations of a fragile ceasefire and the collapse of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
