Yemen’s Ansarullah leader warns of US plundering of Iraq’s oil, calls for economic boycott of enemies

Leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement Abdul-Malik al-Houthi

Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, has called for a broad economic boycott of Western and Israeli products, citing concerns over the exploitation of Iraq’s oil wealth and the use of humanitarian cover for intelligence and moral purposes.

In a televised speech on Thursday, al-Houthi said that American corporations are profiting from Iraq’s oil at the expense of the Iraqi people.

“The enemies derive enormous economic profits from the markets of our Islamic societies in Arab countries and other regions... American companies are plundering Iraq’s oil and benefiting from it even before the Iraqi people do, including at the level of the producing companies themselves,” he said.

Al-Houthi cited a Qur'anic verse as clear scriptural evidence for the legitimacy and importance of economic boycott.

He explained that if Muslims during Prophet Muhammad's time boycotted a single word simply because its use served Jewish interests, then a boycott of goods and products is absolutely necessary, given that these purchases offer enemies massive material support to finance their wars and hostile programs against the Islamic nation.

The Ansarullah leader warned of health and biological risks associated with enemy products, noting their influence and control over major companies and their efforts to introduce toxic substances, elements aimed at sterilizing people and preventing reproduction, or causing incurable diseases, as well as components affecting mental health, requiring full vigilance.

Billions in tobacco profits

Al-Houthi provided statistics showing that enemies earn billions of dollars annually from Arab markets from the tobacco and cigarette sector alone, not to mention other consumer products.

He recalled that in 2002, 2003 and 2004, boycott campaigns achieved such success that the US administration and European countries threatened Arab regimes to stop the boycotts for fear of bankruptcy and closure of their major companies, which depended entirely on the market of the Islamic world, home to two billion Muslims.

He criticized the current state of the Ummah, which enemies have turned into consumer societies that do not produce, suffer from the highest unemployment rates, depend on others’ goods, and are content to export raw materials at the lowest prices only to import them manufactured at the highest prices.

US companies profiting from Iraq’s oil

Al-Houthi presented historical and contemporary evidence from the American occupation of Iraq, explaining that the US army, immediately after its direct occupation, relied on American and Israeli companies to provide all its daily and food requirements, including basic vegetables like tomatoes and radishes, through Jordan, in order to prevent Iraqi farmers and merchants from benefiting from any financial returns.

He asserted that American companies are now the primary beneficiaries of Iraqi oil and are plundering its revenues.

“Funds are deposited in the US Federal Reserve, which controls financial decisions, and only a quarter of Iraq’s oil revenues are disbursed to the Iraqi government, according to American conditions and approvals, while the remaining three quarters go to American projects and tools,” al-Houthi said.

Enemies exploit weak spots

Turning to security and intelligence infiltration, al-Houthi stressed that the enemies are intensely active in the field of security infiltration against Islamic societies, warning that they even exploit humanitarian titles and charitable organizations as covers for intelligence gathering, as has occurred in Yemen.

“The enemies earn billions of dollars solely through the sale of tobacco products in Arab countries,” he noted.

Al-Houthi explained that the key to defeat, humiliation or harm to the Ummah comes from within, not just from outside. The enemy, he said, relies on exploiting weak, crisis-ridden and flawed situations, and always seeks to make the Ummah susceptible to collapse and infiltration.

He emphasized that infiltration represents a “fundamental strategy” for the enemies in their comprehensive war, forcing all relevant parties to diagnose gaps and close entry points.

He singled out the security field as one of the most dangerous, given the enemy’s focus on “information infiltration to obtain precise data used in aggressive and criminal operations such as assassinations and bombings, and even reaching other vital areas such as the health sector.”

Al-Houthi called for integrating “security guidance” and awareness into media programs, educational curricula and training workshops, stressing the importance of fully utilizing the confessions and information provided by recently apprehended spy and sabotage cells, as they clearly reveal the enemy’s working methods and the gaps through which they committed their crimes.

He warned against some individuals complaining about preventive and security measures, noting that due to lack of awareness, some interpret these necessary measures as restrictions or harassment, having grown accustomed to a state of carelessness and negligence.

Al-Houthi detailed the human and technical tools employed by the American and Zionist enemies for internal infiltration, citing confessions from captured spy cells broadcast by security agencies.

He explained how espionage elements use enticement in speech to extract strategic information without the speaker’s awareness, warning that providing any information about a location, a person, or a military operation to unauthorized parties constitutes direct service to the Zionist Jews, making the provider a partner in crime and bloodshed.

He also warned of technical infiltration facilitated by some people through handing over phone numbers or technological data that serves the enemy.

The Epstein case as a tool for blackmail

Al-Houthi highlighted the strategy of “moral corruption” as a universal tool used by Americans and Zionists to undermine faith and dilute societies.

He cited the globally known Jeffrey Epstein case as living evidence of how leaders, politicians, financiers, and military and intelligence figures were ensnared in heinous crimes and prostitution, documented on video and photos for the purpose of blackmail, pressure, and later recruitment for security and information infiltration.

“Destroying human dignity and faith-based honor through lewd acts turns an individual into a despicable tool ready to carry out dirty tasks and betray his comrades and relatives without concern,” he said.

Al-Houthi revealed that enemies also use “humanitarian titles and international organizations” as cover for infiltration and espionage, noting that this method has been tried in many countries and occurred in Yemen in documented fashion.

He spoke of “cells affiliated with humanitarian organizations that worked intensively to collect detailed information and directly participated in criminal operations for the benefit of the Zionist enemy, targeting the government of change and construction.”

He described a local cell managed directly by a foreign element that conducted direct field monitoring over days, using advanced technical and communications capabilities to carry out strikes and aerial bombings, while also collecting extensive intelligence on weapons depots, military manufacturing, missile forces, naval forces, air defense, and leadership figures.

Al-Houthi described these facts as documented and damning, based on detailed confessions that accurately correspond to reality, dismissing the perceptions of what he called “naive and deceived people who believe it is just propaganda.”
