Iran has condemned the Israeli regime’s terrorist assassination of a senior Hamas commander, along with his wife and child, denouncing the cowardly strike as yet another desperate attempt by the apartheid entity to crush the unstoppable spirit of Palestinian resistance.

The regime assassinated Izz El-Din Al-Haddad, known as Abu Suhayb, general commander of al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, and others on Friday night.

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement on Saturday night, extended deepest condolences to the Hamas leadership, the people of Palestine, and to all Muslims and freedom-seekers around the globe.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the terrorist act by the savage Zionist regime in assassinating Izz al-Din Haddad, Commander-in-Chief of the Qassam Brigades, along with his wife and child,” the statement said.

It described the martyrdom of this great holy fighter, his wife, and their child as a noble sacrifice on the path of the divine and humanitarian ideal of Palestine.

The Foreign Ministry made it crystal clear that this criminal act, like all previous assassinations, is an integral part of the Israeli regime’s broader colonial scheme aimed at the total erasure of Palestine.

The statement also denounced the United States, the Israeli regime’s biggest military, financial, and political sponsor, stating that Washington bears full complicity in every single one of these heinous crimes.

Earlier in the day, the al-Qassam Brigades had officially confirmed the commander's martyrdom in the "cowardly" Israeli airstrike on Gaza City the previous night.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry exposed the profound weakness of the occupying regime: “The cowardly assassination of Palestinian leaders and elites is a clear sign of the desperation and helplessness of a regime that, despite committing the most horrific crimes and the massacre of hundreds of thousands of innocent people over the past eight decades, has failed to extinguish the spirit of resistance against apartheid occupation and brutal colonialism in the minds and hearts of the Palestinian people.”

As a result, the Foreign Ministry noted, the Palestinian people are now more determined than ever to continue their just struggle for human rights and, above all, their sacred right to self-determination.

The statement concluded on a note of firm confidence in the resistance, “There is no doubt that the physical elimination of resistance commanders and Palestinian elites will not only fail to disrupt the school and path of resistance but will also serve as an inspiration for the followers and mujahideen on the path of dignity and freedom for Palestine.”

The latest atrocity by the criminal Israeli regime once again proves that the more the occupation resorts to targeted killings and mass murder, the stronger the axis of resistance grows.

Iran reiterates its full and unconditional support for the Palestinian cause, which remains the central battlefront in the global fight against colonialism, apartheid, and state-sponsored terrorism.

The blood of martyrs like Izz El-Din Al-Haddad will only hasten the inevitable victory of justice and the liberation of every inch of occupied Palestine.
