Hezbollah strikes crushing blows against Israeli troops in southern Lebanon

The Hezbollah resistance movement has significantly increased its retaliatory operations against the Israeli regime in recent weeks.

The Islamic resistance movement Hezbollah has carried out 20 defensive military operations against invading Israeli occupation forces in southern Lebanon, delivering heavy losses to the aggressors and proving once again the determination to defend Lebanese sovereignty.

According to a statement issued on Monday night, Hezbollah said its resistance fighters targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in the towns of al-Bayyadah, Rishaf, and Tayr Harfa using rocket barrages, artillery shells, and explosive drones.

In the course of these operations, Hezbollah forces directly struck a Merkava tank in Rishaf, along with several engineering vehicles, a Hummer armored carrier, and D9 military bulldozers near Naqoura and along the al-Bayyadah road.

In the town of Taybe, resistance fighters executed a sophisticated multi-stage attack, launching three consecutive explosive drone strikes on a house occupied by Israeli personnel, resulting in confirmed casualties that forced the enemy to evacuate the wounded by helicopter.

Further strikes hit Israeli troop concentrations near the Deir Siriane riverbed and newly established command and artillery positions in Odaisseh and al-Bayyadah.

In yet another success, Hezbollah air-defense units shot down an Israeli surveillance drone over the Tyre region using a surface-to-air missile.

These sustained operations form part of Hezbollah’s campaign to expel the Zionist occupation forces from Lebanese territory and to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people facing the brutal aggression of the Tel Aviv regime. Backed by the full support of the Axis of Resistance, Hezbollah continues to demonstrate advanced tactical capabilities, precise intelligence, and the unbreakable will of the Lebanese resistance.

Israel is occupying a belt of the south that extends 5 to 10 kilometers into Lebanon. The Israeli regime's military reiterated a warning to residents of South Lebanon not to cross into the area.

On Saturday, the Israeli military said a Hezbollah drone strike wounded an officer and two soldiers in southern Lebanon, leaving one in serious condition.

Hezbollah said it carried out several operations targeting Israeli military vehicles, troop gatherings, and positions across southern Lebanon, adding that it also intercepted an Israeli drone during the same period.

The resistance movement said these operations were a direct response to repeated Israeli breaches of the ceasefire and ongoing strikes on civilian areas in southern Lebanon.

Despite a ceasefire in effect since April 17, extended through mid-May, Israel continues daily attacks in Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese health ministry, Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2, soon after the war of aggression against Iran, have killed at least 2,869 people and displaced more than one million.
