Hezbollah has offered its deep condolences to the Hamas resistance movement over the assassination of a senior leader's son in an Israeli airstrike in eastern Gaza, stressing that targeted killings and brutalities can never deter Palestinian resistance factions.
Hezbollah's Head of Palestinian Relations, Hassan Hoballah, emphasized in a statement on Saturday that Israeli atrocities will instead further solidify Palestinians' commitment to their legitimate cause.
"We are definitely certain that such recurrent acts of aggression and assassinations will never manage to weaken the willpower of Palestinians, a nation which has dedicated tens of thousands of martyrs to nurture the path towards honor, glory and liberation of occupied lands," the statement read.
Hoballah extended the Lebanese resistance group's sincere condolences to Hamas, its exiled Gaza chief and main negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, and the Palestinian nation over the martyrdom of Azzam al-Hayya, who died of his injuries on Thursday after an Israeli air raid struck Gaza City's Deraj neighborhood the previous night.
"This horrendous atrocity once again exposed the criminal and vicious nature of the Zionist enemy, a foe which continues to target and massacre women, children and the elderly in Gaza and Lebanon through the support and complicity of the United States," the senior Hezbollah official said.
Hoballah also sharply criticized the silence of the international community, as well as Arab and Muslim states, in the face of Israeli brutalities.
He stated that such behavior has emboldened the Tel Aviv regime to press ahead with its crimes in the Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank, and southern Lebanon, and to blatantly violate international agreements and treaties.
The senior Hezbollah official also criticized the guarantor states of the Gaza ceasefire -- Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States -- and the so-called Board of Peace for their abject failure to establish peace and ensure security in Gaza.
He stressed that their inaction has yielded nothing other than killings, destruction, displacement, and siege in Gaza.
"The Zionist enemy, which has for years failed to undermine the Palestinian resistance front, cannot materialize its sinister plots by means of targeted killings and crimes. Palestinian resistance factions will remain fiercely committed to their principles, rights and sanctities, and will struggle to liberate their lands," Hoballah concluded.
