A Mossad spy, who was responsible for gathering Iran’s sensitive information and sending it to the Israeli spy agency, has been executed, according to Iran’s Supreme Court.

Mehdi Farid was executed on Wednesday after his case was reviewed and the final verdict was approved.

Farid, who was the director of the passive defense committee of a vital organization before his arrest, was quickly recruited by a Mossad handler, according to the high Court.

He was first contacted through email by his handler who used the name “Babak” and after exchanging several messages was given a specific spy messaging device.

During their early contacts and before the full recruitment, the handler explicitly told Farid that he needed sensitive information about the organization where Farid worked, and Farid promised to provide the data.

After the completion of the recruitment period, Farid was provided with the necessary money to buy a laptop, phone, memory card and ram reader.

The handler instructed him on how to use these items in order to safely contact him and send information.

After the creation of the necessary safe space, the Mossad began telling Farid what kind of information he must gather.

They specifically told him to access the confidential information in the organization’s corporate office.

In return for his work for Mossad, Farid officially became a spy, and received a monthly stipend in euros from the Israelis.

Furthermore, Mossad promised Farid that after the completion of his work for the spy agency, they will help him leave Iran, which he later learned was a lie and the spy agency had no intention to let him go.

Later, Mossad instructed Farid to corrupt the servers and networks of the organization with spyware.

It was at this stage that Iran’s Ministry of Inelegance and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corp’s intelligence branch, which had Farid under surveillance for several months, decided to arrest him and hand him to the Judiciary authorities.

During his trial, the defendant pleaded guilty and explained the nature of his relation with the Israeli spy agency.

Also, during his trial, Farid confessed that from the very beginning he was aware that he was in contact with a Mossad handler.

Terrorist team dismantled

Meanwhile, Iran's security forces have dismantled an operational team belonging to the Jaish al-Adl terrorist group in the border county of Rask, killing several terrorists, the Tasnim news agency reported Wednesday.

A significant quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered from the terrorist team, according to the report.

Jaish al-Adl operates in Iran's southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan. The group has claimed responsibility for past attacks on Iranian civilians and security forces.
