Yemeni forces pummel major Israeli targets with a "fissile ballistic missile" and several attack drones in their latest operation in support of Iran and regional resistance movements in the face of unprovoked Israeli-American aggression.

The Arab Peninsula nation's Armed Forces announced the operation, their fifth such solidarity strike so far, in a statement on Saturday.

They identified the targets as the Ben Gurion airport, the Israeli regime's largest air terminal, located in the central part of the occupied territories, and vital Israeli military targets lying in the southern part of the territories.

"This operation was conducted jointly with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Iranian Army, and [the resistance movement of] Hezbollah in Lebanon, and it successfully achieved its objective," the servicemen stated.

According to the statement, the operation was carried out in solidarity with the Islamic Republic and regional resistance groups that have come under unprovoked American-Israeli aggression since February 28.

The strike came "within the framework of confronting the Zionist scheme that seeks to establish the 'Greater Israel' under the guise of the 'New Middle East,'" they added, referring to Tel Aviv's ambitions to expand the areas under its occupation to cover larger parts of the West Asia region.

"We will continue our military operations within the Axis of Resistance until victory is achieved."

The Armed Forces formally announced joining the battlefield in favor of Iran and the resistance groups on March 28.

The Islamic Republic has faced the aggression with an ongoing retaliatory operation of its own, codenamed True Promise 4, throughout which it has slammed hundreds of ballistic and hypersonic missiles as well as attack drones into strategic and sensitive American and Israeli targets across the region.

So far, the Corps has launched at least 95 waves of counterstrikes as part of the operation, with some being carried out in coordination with Hezbollah, which has also responded forcefully to foreign escalation.
