Tehran and cities across Iran saw large gatherings for Eid al Fitr prayers on Saturday morning, as worshippers united to mark the conclusion of Ramadan.
From the early hours of the morning, long before the official start of the ceremony, large numbers of worshippers from across Iran made their way to the prayer grounds to mark the end of the month long Ramadan fast.

This year’s gathering carried a different atmosphere, as participants observed the occasion in the absence of their martyr leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
In Tehran, Eid al Fitr prayers were led by Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari, Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader, at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in the capital.

Organizers said the high turnout reflected the public’s continued commitment to the values he represented.
He hailed the “coordination between the ‘street’ and the ‘field’ after the US-Israeli aggression against the country and noted that “what is important in this path is maintaining unity, social peace, avoiding extremism, and continuing vigilance against any instigation of tension.”
Following the prayer ceremony, the body of Ali Mohammad Naeini, spokesperson for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, was scheduled to be carried in a public funeral procession.

In other provinces, Eid al Fitr prayers were also held with large public participation.
Friday prayer leaders emphasized the continuation of the nation’s path under the leadership of the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
The US and Israel started a fresh round of aerial aggression on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they waged a war of aggression against the country.
Iran began to swiftly retaliate by launching barrages of missile and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases and interests in regional countries.
