The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran has launched retaliatory drone strikes on strategic centers belonging to Israeli weapons manufacturers, including Rafael and Industries Aircraft Israel (IAI).

In a statement on Monday, the Army said it had conducted the operation in response to the crimes that the US and Israel are committing in their illegal aggression against Iran.

It said Rafael works towards developing Israel’s Iron Dome systems and Spike missiles, as well as cyber technologies for the regime’s military.

It said the IAI produces military aircraft, drones, missiles, air defense systems, and vital systems such as Arrow missile shield.

The Iranian Army further said the operation was carried out in honor of the martyred sailors of the Iranian destroyer Dena, which was attacked by a US submarine at the coasts of Sri Lanka on March 4 while returning home from a naval drill with India.

The US and Israel launched their unprovoked act of aggression against Iran on February 28 by assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with senior military commanders, in flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty.

The enemies have deliberately targeted Iran’s civilian structure, including schools, hospitals, banks, and sports facilities, killing hundreds of Iranian people.

Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the terrorist military assault by launching barrages of missile and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on the US assets in regional countries.
IRGC targets US ammunition depot in UAE base

Additionally on Monday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said its Navy had targeted the central ammunition warehouse of the terrorist US forces at the al-Dhafra air base in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The “accurate and crushing” operation caused severe explosions at the base, where an evacuation order was issued and fighter jets were transferred to other bases, it added.

IRGC intercepts, destroys enemy drones

In a separate statement, the IRGC announced that it had intercepted and destroyed two enemy armed drones before they conducted attacks.

It said a Heron drone was intercepted over the Iranian capital of Tehran on Sunday night while a Hermes-900 was destroyed over Jam county in Bushehr Province.
