Members of Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) say Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s firm remarks in response to threats disrupted the enemy’s warlike equations.

In a statement issued after the Leader’s speech on Tuesday, the lawmakers expressed gratitude to the Leader for his “wise remarks” that “heal the wounds and sufferings caused by the recent American-Zionist coup.”

They said the Leader disrupted the enemy’s equations and shattered its illusions of carrying out an act of aggression against the country.

They also declared the Majlis’s full readiness to act in line with the Leader’s guidance in managing national affairs.

Earlier on Tuesday, Ayatollah Khamenei responded to repeated US military threats against Iran, warning that the weapons that can sink the American carriers are “more dangerous” than the warships.

The warning comes as US President Donald Trump has deployed military forces to the region, threatening to launch attacks on Iran.

US officials said on February 12 that the Pentagon was sending an additional aircraft carrier to the region, adding thousands more troops along with fighter aircraft and guided-missile destroyers.

The lawmakers also praised the massive public turnout in the February 11 rallies marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

They described the date as a focal point of national power and a manifestation of national unity, institutional cohesion, and public legitimacy.

They said the Revolution—founded under the leadership of Imam Khomeini—has evolved into a sustainable model of governance and nation-building under the guidance of Ayatollah Khamenei, despite multilayered sanctions and cognitive and media warfare.

“The multi-million nationwide presence of the Iranian people in this year’s rally holds a significance that goes beyond mere ritualistic participation; it constitutes a strategic, social, and on-the-ground action demonstrating public trust in the Islamic System. This presence invalidated all hostile calculations aimed at inducing social divergence and weakening national solidarity,” it said.

They further described the bond between the people and the government as the Islamic Republic’s primary strategic advantage and a source of soft deterrence and national power against “Global Arrogance led by the criminal United States and the agent Zionist regime.”

Last Wednesday, Millions of people from all walks of life came to the streets across Iran as nationwide rallies marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution began across the country.

The rallies commemorate the Iranian people’s overthrow of the Pahlavi dictatorship, which had the full backing of the United States, in the winter of 1979.

Imam Khomeini returned from exile on February 1, 1979, receiving an enormous welcome from the public weeks after the shah’s departure in mid-January.

The downfall of the Pahlavi regime was sealed on February 11, 1979, when the military abandoned its allegiance to the shah and aligned itself with the Revolution.
