Pakistan sees decline in attacks after Afghanistan border closure

New data shows a decline in terrorist attacks in Pakistan following the closure of the Afghan border, indicating a gradual reduction in incidents through November, followed by a sharper drop in December, particularly in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Authorities say the trend has prompted renewed discussion over the role of border management in counterterrorism efforts.
