Dozens of protesters gathered in Bologna on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the Gaza war, defying a citywide ban on pro-Palestinian demonstrations imposed by local authorities on October 7.
The gathering took place despite warnings from Bologna Mayor Matteo Lepore, who cited the risk of unrest following similar clashes at rallies in other Italian cities in recent days.
The demonstration was among several held across Italy this week, marking two years since the start of the Gaza war, which has seen large-scale civilian casualties and international condemnation.
