From the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, the journey starts to march towards the holy shrine of Imam Hussein in Karbala, where millions of people from all around the world are converging to mark Arba’een.
Pilgrims are served along this long journey by Mowkibs, makeshift tents erected along the paths, that offer everything that pilgrims may need during the journey for free.
