Syria has warned the Israeli regime about the dire consequences of its atrocities against regional countries, reacting to earlier strikes by the regime that claimed the lives of more than a dozen people in the central part of the Arab country.

The Syrian foreign ministry made the remarks in a statement on Monday after the attacks targeted the country’s province of Hama, killing at least 16 people and wounding 36 others, six of whom are in critical condition.

It said the regime’s systematic attacks on the Syrian soil and other regional territories, including its ongoing tremendously deadly aggression against the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, “indicates the frantic drive of this bloody fascist entity towards further escalation in the region.”

The ministry said such escalation threatened to “push the region towards dangerous slides with severe and unforeseeable consequences.”

It described the United States and the regime’s other Western allies as “complicit” in the crimes, citing their untrammeled support for Tel Aviv despite the atrocities.

This support “is what encourages it (the regime) to continue its heinous crimes and ongoing aggression,” the statement added.

It, meanwhile, noted that Syria reserved the right to defend its sovereignty against the Israeli aggression and liberate its Golan Heights, which have been occupied by the regime since 1967.

Damascus would exercise the right “by all legitimate means guaranteed by international law,” the statement concluded.

In a state of war with Damascus due to its ongoing occupation of the Golan, Tel Aviv recurrently attacks various areas across Syria.

The attacks mostly target the country’s defensive installations and the positions belonging to the resistance fighters, who have been helping Damascus fight off Takfiri terrorists.
