Gaza's stalled talks

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas says that the Israeli regime has scuppered all efforts by mediators to reach an agreement on the ceasefire to stop the genocide taking place on Gaza.

This makes perfect sense, in light of Netanyahu's declaration that the onslaught on Gaza will continue, including the push on Rafah despite humanitarian condemnation across the globe.

The UN has reiterated its position that the ground attack in the south of Gaza would be catastrophic.

Meanwhile commentators unpack some of the highlights of Joe Biden State of the Union address, where he urged Israel to prevent more civilian deaths, and to increase humanitarian aid.

The solution by Washington has been an eyebrow-raising one where a temporary pier on Gaza's shoreline constructed that would help to allow aid to enter the besieged enclave.

And what of the situation inside the West Bank where trepidation looms as Ramadan approaches.

Since October, there has already been a marked escalation in violence, both from Israeli forces as well as the illegal settlers.
