Israel's Crocodile Tears

The Israeli regime and its supporters are on the back foot. On day two of the hearing in the genocide case against Tel Aviv at the UN's highest court, the ICJ, lawyers representing the occupation entity presented their feeble defense.

In the wake of the five-point argument presented by the South African legal team, the Israeli line of "it's the fault of the resistance and we were acting in self-defense" rang somewhat hollow.

With tens of thousands of Palestinians martyred in Gaza, and many more still entombed inside the rubble, it is very difficult for this to be presented as anything other than a genocidal onslaught.

This is, of course against the backdrop of the joint US-UK attacks on Yemen with Ansurullah resistance fighters condemning the strikes and warning the US and the UK that they should be ready to pay a heavy price.

With analysts fearing an escalation of tensions within the region, the global community now waits as the International Court of Justice considers its response.
