Jan. 7: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against Israel and its Western backers amid the regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of more than 23,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Sunday, January 7, are as follows:

Qassam Brigades' operations on Jan. 7:

• Targeted Israeli forces while they tried to enter the Al-Maghazi camp with several heavy-caliber mortar shells, leading to casualties.
• Destroyed an Israeli troop carrier with an ‘Al-Yassin 105’ shell in Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
• Targeted Israeli military concentrations at the Al-Mahatta area in the city of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, with mortar shells.
• Targeted and destroyed two Merkava tanks and a military bulldozer with ‘Al-Yassin 105’ shells, blew up two tunnels with Israeli soldiers in them, detonated a minefield where an Israeli infantry force was stationed east of Bureij, resulting in multiple casualties.

Hezbollah's operations on Jan. 7:

Eastern sector:

• At around 13:45 local time, Israeli soldiers south of Al-Manara were targeted with missile weapons.
• At around 15:05 local time, an Israeli military radar site in Shebaa was targeted with missile weapons.
• At around 15:30 local time, an Israeli military tank was targeted at the Ruwaisat al-Assi site with a Kornet missile.
• At around 16:00 local time, Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Metulla site were targeted.
• At around 16:00 local time, Al-Marj site was targeted.

Western sector:

• At around 15:05 local time, Israeli soldiers in Al-Malikiyah were targeted.
• At around 16:00 local time, the Shomera Barracks was targeted with appropriate weapons.
• At around 16:00 local time, Israeli soldiers were targeted in the vicinity of the Mitat Barracks with appropriate weapons.
• At around 16:00 local time, the Zarit Barracks was targeted with Burkan missiles.
• At around 17:00 local time, Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Ya’ra Barracks were targeted with missiles.

Iraqi resistance’s operations on Jan. 7:

• Announced the targeting of a vital site in occupied Haifa with an advanced cruise missile.
• Attacked the US military’s Ain al-Asad base in western Iraq with drones, resulting in massive damage and casualties.
• Attacked the Qasraq occupation base in Hasaka, Syrian countryside, with drones.
• Targeted an Israeli military site in the occupied Golan with appropriate weapons.
