The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement says it has carried out several strikes against Israel’s military sites in response to the regime’s brutal aggression against Gaza.

Hezbollah said on Wednesday it targeted the positions of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in Al-Raheb near Lebanon’s southern border with Burkan rockets, causing casualties.

The movement also targeted several Israeli posts in Bayyad Blida as well as other military targets, including a number of Israeli barracks, with appropriate weapons.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes raided a number of areas in southern Lebanon, including the village of Beit Yahun.

According to a statement by Hezbollah, the strike killed five members of the movement, including the son of the head of Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc Mohammed Raad.

Abbas Raad was "martyred on the road to al-Quds (Jerusalem)," the movement said in a statement issued on Wednesday night.

Hezbollah issued separate statements with the identities and photographs of four other fighters who were also martyred.

A source close to the family, requesting anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media, told AFP that Abbas Raad "was killed with a number of other Hezbollah members" in an Israeli strike Wednesday on a house in south Lebanon's Beit Yahun.

Lebanon's official National News Agency said Wednesday that "an air strike launched by the Israeli enemy... on a house in Beit Yahun killed four people."

Israel waged the war on Gaza on October 7 after Hamas carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm into the occupied territories in response to the occupying regime’s intensified crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Israeli regime has been waging sporadic attacks on southern Lebanon since October 7. The Israeli attacks have sparked a firefight between the regime and Hezbollah.

The Zionist forces said in statements Wednesday evening that it had struck a number of Hezbollah targets and sources of fire from Lebanon, including a Hezbollah unit and infrastructure.
