Pro-Palestinian groups stage anti-US protests as Blinken holds talks in Ankara

Dozens of people convened near Turkey's foreign ministry in Ankara on Monday to protest against the United States' support for Israel, as Secretary of State Antony Blinken met his Turkish counterpart Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

The pro-Palestinian crowd chanted slogans, calling Blinken a murderer for unconditionally supporting Israel and telling him to leave Turkey. A separate group also marched near the foreign ministry to protest Blinken's trip.

After the meeting, Blinken said he discussed with Fidan efforts to expand humanitarian efforts in Gaza and to prevent the conflict in the region from spreading. He said the coming days would show humanitarian assistance expanding in significant ways.
