Palestinian resistance launches fresh retaliatory attacks on targets in occupied territories

Resistance groups in Gaza fire barrages of rockets on Israeli regime targets in the occupied territories.

The military wings of Hamas and Islamic Jihad resistance movements in Palestine have launched fresh attacks on targets in the Israeli-occupied territories in response to the regime’s continued bombardment of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas which is based in Gaza, said on Monday that it had used for the first time its al-Zouari drones to attack Israel’s Hatzerim and Taslim military bases in Negev desert.

The resistance force also released footage showing the launch of al-Zouari drones from an unknown location in Gaza toward Israeli targets.

That comes as the Israeli military claimed it had shot down two drones launched from Gaza towards the occupied territories.

Hamas said it had also fired rockets to attack targets in Sderot, located in south of the Israeli-occupied territories.

The attacks were a response to more than two weeks of incessant Israeli bombardment and shelling of Gaza, which has left more than 5,000 people dead and over 15,000 others injured.

Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, another major anti-Israeli resistance movement in Gaza, said that it had used heavy artillery fire to target Israeli positions in Sufa and Holit in the south and southwest of the occupied Palestine.

The military wings of Hamas and Islamic Jihad have fired thousands of rockets and missiles into the occupied territories since earlier this month and after the Israeli regime launched its full-scale attacks on Gaza.

The confrontation erupted on October 7 after an unprecedented military operation by Hamas, which left 1,400 settlers and military forces dead and some 5,000 injured.
