Sudan’s Protracted Conflict

In the first segment of Africa Today this week, we are focusing on the ongoing civil conflict in Sudan that has left thousands dead amid an unfolding humanitarian crisis. We are asking, why have various peace initiatives failed to stop the fighting? In the second part of Africa Today, we are analyzing the decision by Algeria to phase out the use of French language which is indeed a legacy of France’s long and brutal colonial history in this North African country.
