Footage captured on Saturday shows houses and farms submerged as a result of the heavy rainfall caused by Typhoon Doksuri in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province.

The provincial hydrology and water resources center issued an alert on Friday, stating that monitoring data from some river sites in Heilongjiang Province indicates that the water levels have exceeded the warning level.

Simultaneously, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Natural Resources and the Heilongjiang Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a series of red, orange, and yellow warnings for meteorological risks and geological disasters.

According to state media reports, from 10 am on Friday to 8 pm on Saturday, regions including parts of Harbin and the entire city of Mudanjiang will experience a high meteorological risk of geological disasters (red alert).

With the initial flooding of the Mudanjiang River, the local government urged residents to enhance prevention measures and pay attention to the risks along the river, resulting in the urgent evacuation of more than 20,000 people.
