South Korea marks the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Korean War Armistice, Thursday, as President Yoon Suk-yeol has moved the country to a stronger military alliance with the US and Japan.

However, activists representing civic groups voiced their desires for peace with a declaration today, July 27th, at the "Unification Bridge" near the DMZ.

They argue Yoon's 'peace through strength' policies and military alliances put everyone at risk of war.
