Saudi Arabia-Iran Accord: A New World Order?

On March 10, Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed in Beijing to re-establish relations after years of hostility.

The deal was announced after four days of talks between top security officials from the two neighboring countries.

By brokering the accord, China has positioned itself as an alternative to a fading US-led order and as a responsible peacemaker.
