US anti-Iran plot failed

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Iran was the main target of the wars the US waged in Iraq and Afghanistan. The leader said in a meeting with senior commanders of the armed forces that Americans failed in achieving their final goal due to Iran’s power. Ayatollah Khamenei added that the Armed Forces should stop at no level of progress and should push ahead ceaselessly, as threats never go away completely. The Leader added that readiness of the Armed Forces is deterrent per se, but warned that the US and its allies will continue to trigger conflicts, where their interests are served. Ayatollah Khamenei also talked about Palestinians' operations against Israel. He said Israeli crimes are now sparking protests even in the US and the UK and this is a defeat for the regime.

Israeli crimes

Some 5,000 Palestinians, including children and women are languishing in Israeli jails, many of them without any charge or trial. That’s according to a new joint report by Palestinian rights groups. The report was issued on the occasion of Palestinian Prisoner's Day. The Palestinian Prisoner Society and the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs are among the groups that have prepared the report. It says more than 30 women and 160 children below 18 years are held in different Israeli prisons. Over 1,000 people, including some children and women have also been incarcerated under the so-called administrative detention, a policy Israel is using to keep Palestinians without any charge or trial for an indefinite period. The rights groups accuse the regime of developing more tools of abuse and stripping the prisoners of their basic rights.

Sudan deadly fighting

Fierce fighting rages on between Sudan’s army and a paramilitary group in the capital Khartoum despite an hours-long pause to address humanitarian needs of civilians. Three UN staff members are among more than 50 civilians killed throughout the country in the battle that began on Saturday. The World Food Program said it was suspending operations in the country after the killing of its workers. The battles between the powerful armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces have sparked an international outcry and regional concern, including border closures by neighbors such as Egypt and Chad. Clashes erupted after weeks of power struggle between the army chief and his deputy, who commands the Rapid Support Forces. The rival generals seized power in a 2021 coup. The fighting has complicated a proposed transition to a civilian rule.
