A seminar was held in Damascus marking the International Quds day, which is scheduled on the last Friday of Ramadan each year. Representatives of Syria-based Palestinians factions delivered speeches underlining the importance of this day in sending messages of support to Palestinians who are resisting Israeli crimes in occupied lands. They asserted that resistance is the only path to free Palestine.

Speakers stressed that Iran’s support for the Palestinian cause was key to Palestinians ability to face the Israeli enemy for decades. They also affirmed that unity among member states of the resistance Front has for long been a cause of concern and fear for Israel. Iran's charge d'affaires in Syria promised his country’s unwavering support to Palestinians will never stop.

This year, Quds day coincides with Israeli escalation on Palestinians in Aqsa mosque and the Gaza Strip. The participants in the seminar reiterated that Palestinians will continue struggling and renewing their uprisings despite all Israeli attempts to break their will.

Al-Quds day was set by Islamic Republic of Iran as a reminder of Palestinian rights, mainly in liberating their lands and repatriation. It’s a day that annually unmasks US and Western lies of protecting human rights as Israel’s crimes against Palestinians are ongoing amid international silence.
