Muslim world’s resolve in Palestinian issue will accelerate Israel’s collapse: Iranian seminary scholars

Iran’s internationally-renowned Qom Seminary Scholars' Community says Muslim countries’ steadfastness in defending Palestine will expedite the Israeli regime's downward spiral.

The scholars' community made the comments in a statement on Monday, ahead of International Quds Day and amid the Israeli regime’s intensifying brutal acts against the Palestinian people.

“If Muslim countries remained resolute in the main issue of the Muslim world, which is Palestine, the …collapse of the usurping Israeli regime (Israel), which has begun, will accelerate,” the statement read.

It added that Israel, a cancerous tumor, is a base of terrorism and its eradication from West Asia would restore peace and security to the region.

The Palestinian people have been fighting the child-killing Israeli regime with empty hands in the past, but the Islamic resistance movement is now giving responses to the usurping regime’s threats with missiles, it noted.

The statement went on to say that the Zionist enemy is getting weaker as it has been grappling with political, economic, security and social crises.

It said the Iranian nation would remain steadfast in supporting the oppressed and fighting bullying powers, and it would never stop backing Palestine and al-Quds.

The conspiracies of arrogant powers against the Muslim world have mostly been futile in the past, the religious teachers remarked, adding, “The scene of events in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan also clearly shows that the resistance front continues its path with power and influence despite heavy pressures.”

They emphasized that the desperation and failure of the US and its criminal accomplice in the region – the Israeli regime – are rooted in Muslim nations’ awakening and their active resistance against occupying powers.

The society then invited all Muslim nations to massively participate in the International Quds Day rallies and stressed that the continuation of resistance in the Palestinian territories and global support for Palestine would lead to the liberation of al-Quds.

Over the past months, Israel has ramped up attacks on Palestinian towns and cities throughout the occupied territories. As a result of these attacks, dozens of Palestinians have lost their lives and many others have been injured.

Most of the raids have focused on al-Quds, Nablus and Jenin, where Israeli forces have been trying to stifle a growing Palestinian resistance against the occupation.

Local and international rights groups have condemned Israel’s excessive use of force and “shoot-to-kill policy” against Palestinians.
