IRIB World Service news channels praised for offering new perspective

Creating a world where untold stories are told and unheard voices are heard, the annual IRIB World Service news awards dubbed “Sobh Media Festival”; this year had a lot to celebrate.

Words that clarify the mission of IRIB world service and this is exactly why the Arabic News Channel Al-Alam swept the IRIB World Service news awards; taking home wins in nearly every major category, with its sister channel Al-Alam Syria TV maintaining frontrunner status with its popular talk show “Zoom Room”.

Meanwhile, the Spanish language news channel, Hispan TV, as well as Press TV were seen as the gold standard of achievement in the television community, winning awards in different sections including the best documentary, and best news website; not to mention that Press TV’s Palestine declassified won the best political TV show.

Press TV correspondent Johnny Miller who has covered the most difficult news stories including the Rohingya crisis, and the developments in Ukraine over the past year was not left out.

And according to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, IRIB World Service is at the forefront of this propaganda war.

That is why there are great expectations, which means that so far IRIB world service has been able to deliver on its responsibilities.

In a world where mainstream media is setting the narrative, IRIB World Service has been able to break the monopoly and offer a new perspective.
