Heads of Syria-based Palestinian factions participated in a popular festival organized by the Fateh Palestinian movement marking the fifty-eighth anniversary of the launch of the contemporary Palestinian revolution of 1965.

Speakers expressed commitment to the Palestinian people and cause, asserting that armed struggle is the only option they adopt in the face of Israel.

Participants voiced rejection of concessions with Israel, underlining the importance of unity among all Palestinian sides to reach their goal of defeating Israel and returning to their land. Several countries’ ambassadors and diplomatic figures attended the event, in a show of support for Palestinians.

Thousands of Palestinian refugees took part, walking the streets of Yarmuk refugee camp, the largest in the region. They chanted slogans expressing steadfastness and resistance until freeing all their lands.

Such events are a clear indication that Palestinians remain adherent to resistance against Israel no matter how long it would take to liberate their homeland. From here in Yarmuk refugee camp in Damascus, also known as the capital of Palestinian diaspora’ they renewed their determination to end the Israeli occupation.”
