Muslims in Pakistan hosted multiple ceremonies to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s daughter, Hazrat Fatima Zahra.

To mark the occasion, the cultural consulate as well as Khana-e-Farhang of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad organized special gatherings to pay tribute to the only daughter of Islam’s holy prophet Mohammad.

The special events were attended by women from all walks of life and included prayers and lectures by scholars on the life and services of Islam’s greatest lady Hazrat Zahra.

The participants in the ceremonies described the wife of first Shia Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib, as a role model for Muslim women for her moral and religious virtues.

Religious Scholars said that if the women of the modern century really want to get their rights, they have to take refuge in the shadow of Islam by associating them with the life of Prophets Mohammad’s daughter.

Every year, Shia Muslims worldwide commemorate Mother's Day on the 20th day of the Islamic lunar month of Jamadi al-Thani, which marks the birthday anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra.

The participants say they wish that women would follow in the footstep of Hazrat Zahra in order to obtain prosperity in both, this world and the hereafter.
