Crowds of people who traveled from across Iran to the city of Kerman, the hometown of the country’s late anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani. Thousands of people from different walks of life converged on the city to commemorate the third anniversary of General Soleimani’s assassination and to pay tribute to a man they venerate as a hero.

Three years after his assassination in a US drone strike near Baghdad airport, people are still filled with an overwhelmed sense of loss as they viewed the late General as a man who fought against tyranny and defended the oppressed.

While the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran targeted General Soleimani and killed him, his ideology is still alive and has had an impact not only on Iranians but also all the freedom-seeking people of the world.

Also, the presence of the youth in the memorial ceremonies and rallies in Kerman to venerate General Soleimani was noticeable.

The younger generation respects and honors General Soleimani’s school of thought which revolves around serving people with selflessness.

The US assassinated Lieutenant General Soleimani because he foiled America's vicious plots in the region , but it was a strategic mistake. The death of General Soleimani pumped fresh blood into the veins of resistance and encouraged millions to follow his path.
