Pre-Hispanic cemetery in Lima discovered by workers of gas company

Archaeologists work on an 800-year-old pre-Hispanic burial site discovered by a team of workers digging in a street in Lima to place gas pipes.

Skeletons, skulls and bones of human remains belonging to the Chancay and Huaura peoples, who flourished on Peru's central coast at that time, were found along with pottery vessels and figurines.
