As temperatures in Britain soar, the race for the next Conservative Party leader is also heating up. Following further eliminations, now only three candidates remain.

On Monday, Tom Tugendhat was eliminated during the 3rd round vote. Rishi Sunak remains in the lead Peny Mordaunt in 2nd closely followed by Liz Truss, while Kemi Bay den-och clings on at 4th place.

However, as the fight intensifies, things are turning bitter—with attacks on policy, along with accusations of ideological treachery leading to candidates refusing to appear on future televised debates.

Pundits believe the divisive race has exposed deep rooted splits in the ruling party at a time when Britain faces numerous economic crises.

There is little doubt at this stage that Sunak will make it to the final round, needing just five more supporters in order to secure a spot. The real battle now is on who will join him in 2nd. Liz Truss or Penny Mordant, then, the final vote will go to Conservative Party members to decide who will be Britain's next PM.
