A high-ranking Hezbollah official says fighters with the Lebanese resistance movement are fully prepared to fight enemy forces on multiple fronts at the same time, and inflict defeats on them.

Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, head of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, said in a ceremony on Thursday that his group has long prepared itself to protect Lebanon in the face of a possible military confrontation.

He stressed that the resistance movement vigorously pursues the interests of the entire Lebanese nation in order to foster national unity.

Earlier this month, Hezbollah officials said that the Lebanese resistance group’s capabilities have shocked and humiliated the Israeli regime, stressing that the unmanned aerial vehicle that flew over Israeli-occupied territories is merely a small fraction of those capabilities.

The president of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, which is the political wing of Hezbollah in the Lebanese parliament, said the resistance movement’s deterrent power has struck horror in the heart of the Israeli regime.

Mohammad Raad hailed the Hassan drone as one of Hezbollah’s outstanding military achievements which will prevent Israel from staging attacks against Lebanon, saying the drone was merely a small part of weapons produced by the resistance group to protect Lebanon against Israel.

He underlined that Hezbollah defends the entire Lebanon and is standing by the side of the Lebanese people amid a financial and economic crisis in the Arab country.

On February 19, Safieddine said Hezbollah is sure to emerge victorious from any war, citing the group’s achievements, including its recent successful flying of a drone over the Israeli-occupied territories.

Hezbollah is strong and is capable of winning any type of warfare, the senior Hezbollah official said.

The future belongs to the resistance as well as the equation that was established by Martyr Hassan al-Qais and the Hassan drone, the unmanned aerial vehicle, which was named after him, Safieddine noted.

Hezbollah calls on Lebanese forces to increase vigilance in face of Israeli plots

Meanwhile, Hezbollah praised Lebanon's Internal Security Forces (ISF) for thwarting three terrorist attacks plotted by the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.

The resistance movement said in a statement that the operation was yet another achievement in light of efforts to break up Israeli cells involved in espionage activities against Hezbollah as well as its sensitive sites and military capabilities.

Hezbollah then urged Lebanese security forces to increase vigilance, and maintain preparedness to prevent the Israeli enemy from exploiting any gap amid the socioeconomic crisis plaguing the nation.

Lebanon's Interior Ministry said on Wednesday that security forces had thwarted a plan by the  Daesh terrorists to carry out three bombings targeting Hezbollah religious compounds in Beirut's southern suburbs.

“A terrorist group had recruited young men in Lebanon to carry out major bombing attacks using explosive belts" and other munitions, Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi told a press conference.

"Three separate targets were to be hit at the same time," the ministry said, in an operation Mawlawi said would have caused significant loss of life.
